VDL Groep Eureka

VDL Groep Eureka is a grey mare sired by Chin Chin, and was owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof and Stal van der Vleuten. Following her international carreer she was stabled at the breeding stables at Stoeterij Duyselshof since 2016. VDL Groep Eureka was sold in 2019.

VDL Groep Eureka was ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten. Via good results in Youngster Classes (for example at CSI Valkenswaard 2010, CSI Zwolle 2011 and CSI Hardelot) Maikel and Eureka have developed very well into the international topsport. Being an 8 yrs old their first victory together in a Grand Prix was a fact. Maikel and VDL Groep Eureka realised this at CSI De Steeg 2012. This was followed by many successes like in Helsinki, Lausanne, London Olympia and Paris. In 2014 Maikel and VDL Groep Eureka became Dutch Champions in show jumping!

Eureka’s father Chin Chin has several sons approved like Phin Phin, Triomphe de Muze and Tolano van ’t Riethof. But also other horses sired by Chin Chin, like Qerly Chin, Ta Belle van Sombeke and Usha van ’t Roosakker have been performing on international level.

Eureka’s mother is Beauty-Belle van ’t Roosakker. She also is the mother of Fa-Belle van ’t Roosakker (s. Berlin). This mare has been performing on international level with Cindy van der Straten. Beauty-Belle van ’t Roosakker is sired by the well-known stallion Quidam de Revel.

Grandmother La Belle van Sombeke also is mother of Walkure van Sombeke and Ba Belle. Also this mare mothered international showjumpers. Grandmother La Belle van Sombeke above all also is grandmother to Glock’s London (s. Nabab de Reve) ridden by Gerco Schröder.

VDL Groep Eureka already has been used in breeding before she started her international carreer. As a consequence several offspring like Canavaro de Muze, Jeleena de Muze and Imposante de Muze already are performing successfully in sport. Her grandsons Mumbai van de Moerhoeve en Opium JW van de Moerhoeve are approved stallions.
