Breeding farm
The breeding stable at Stoeterij Duyselshof is managed by Kees Oosthoek. Together with 2 members of staff, he is responsible for day-to-day operations.
The farm is home to approx. 20 of its own breeding mares, each housed in spacious boxes. There is also room for 60 young horses that are raised in group accommodation.
The breeding farm has access to some 15 hectares of land, for the mares and their foals. There are a further 16 acres of paddock and meadow space at the training stable, for young horses.
In our opinion, imposing specific demands on the breeding material increases the likelihood of obtaining talented foals. All the breeding mares have a proven sporting pedigree.
The intention is that the horses are moved on to the training stable for further training, once they reach the age of 3 years.
