VDL Groep Haranta

VDL Groep Haranta is a bay mare, bred by Stoeterij Duyselshof. Haranta is good-looking with a beautiful conformation and good jumping talent. Haranta was showed by Jörn Emschove at 1m10 level. Haranta has an interesting pedigree and therefore absolutely has potential for breeding after her sports career. 

Haranta’s sire is the preferent stallion Numero Uno who performed at 1m50 level. He also has many offspring in international show jumping up to the highest level, like Tamino, Tyson, Abunola, Ammaretto and Van Gogh.

Haranta’s dam is the mare Taranta (s. Lux x Nimmerdor x Purioso). Ridden by Mathijs van Asten she was performing on 1m50 level. Damsire Lux was a successful Grand-Prix jumper with Jerry Smit and is famous in breeding for producing tophorses like VDL Groep Utascha SFN, Perpetua, Lupicor, Novesta and Sebastian.
Granddam Karanta has also proven herself in breeding in an excellent way. Besides the international showjumper Taranta, she also gave birth to the Grand Prix-showjumper Oranta (s.Indorado) ridden by Chris Kappler, the national showjumper Uranta (s.Lux) and the KWPN-approved stallion Warrant (s. Numero Uno). Karanta is sired by the topstallion Nimmerdor, who is very influential in the worldwide sporthorse breeding and also jumped at international level himself. Via the well-breeding stallion Purioso this damline traces back on Uranta (s.Doon xx), who is a halfsister of the KWPN-approved stallion Plutus (s.Marco Polo).

Haranta was sold in Duyselshof Auction 2017.
