VDL Groep Felix

VDL Groep Felix is a brown gelding, bred by Stoeterij Duyselshof. Felix was trained and showed by Kim Rothengatter at 1m20 level. He is an honest, comfortable horse with good movements. Felix shows a good attitude and scope and is nice to ride.

Felix is sired by the Holsteiner Prämien stallion Contendro I. This stallion has many good offspring in show jumping as well as in dressage and eventing. Above this also several of his sons have been approved for breeding. Examples are Codex One, Callahan, Hello Annie, Contendor and Captain.

Felix’s dam is the mare VDL Groep Ushi (s. Mr. Blue x Uriel x Quastor). As a 5-year-old she successfully participated in the Final of the World Championships for Young Show jumpers in Lanaken. Ushi’s sire Mr. Blue performed very well on the highest level with Bert Romp and Elise Haas. Ushi’s mother Tosca des Ifs is a full sister to the well-known French stallion Paladin des Ifs. He is known for his many excellent results in both international sport and breeding.

Felix was sold in Duyselshof Auction 2017.
